Jill Sissel is an award winning songwriter and has been writing and performing her acclaimed Americana/ Blues music in the Nashville area for more than 20 years. Jill leads her band projects, and has played as a side musician for other Nashville artists. Originally from Midvale, Utah, Jill moved to Music City with an album under her belt in 1998 and hasn't stopped looking ahead for what's next! During the pandemic Jill worked on a music video called, "Re-Sister" with director Val Whitcomb and that video had an Official Selection with the NewFest Film Festival, and it won Best Music Video at the 2022 Cinema Systers Film Festival.
In 2020, the album Haunted Highway (producer Liz Ficalora), won the award for Best Americana Album by JPFolks. Two other songs finished as top finalists.
In 2018, Jill released the album Forever Free. The first single, The Tennessee Farmer, played a big part in the documentary film The Blueberry Farmer, (Tepper Creek Productions), as the theme song winning Best Music in a Documentary with the NewsFest Film Festival.
Jill lives in Nashville and is currently working with Amy Reid, her co-writing partner, and Liz Ficalora her spouse, drummer and producer. The trio have released a single, "River Town" that was picked up by Grammy award winner Chuck Ebert and featured on "Rooted in Song", released on Cabin Records in 2020.
Opening shows in the past for artists Dan Seals, Ty England, JoDee Messina and Tracy Lawrence has shaped the professional aptitude Jill Sissel brings to her live shows. Her abilities as a multi-instrumentalist keep her in demand as a
performer. Her instrumental talents include Voice, Guitar (electric/ acoustic/ bass/resonator), Piano & Harmonica.
Performing as a solo or with her band, Jill Sissel is recognized for her energy and powerful guitar playing.
Liz Ficalora is a drummer, clinician, author, teacher, audio engineer, producer, songwriter, and music software designer. She has been playing the drums for 50 years. Her honors include being a published author with Alfred Publishing, First Place Award Winning Jingle Writer for Maxwell House Coffee, Best Americana Album Producer and Best Contemporary Song, JP Folks Award Show 2020, and a graduate of the
Berklee College of Music.
As a performer, she has extensive performance and touring experience with Pam Tillis, Stella Parton, Charlie Louvin, Billy Prine, Madame Gandhi, Walter Egan, Carnival Cruise Line, Grand Rivers Variety Shows, Sterling, Calliope's Children Steel Band, The Larry Keeton Theatre, Nashville in Harmony Choir, and the Nashville Celebration Choir.
During all her years of performing experience, Liz created and developed a drum charting method and authored the book, “How to Write A Fast and Easy Drum Chart,” published by Alfred Publishing. This drum charting method book is endorsed by Remo, Louie Bellson and Gary Chaffee, This method is becoming the standard that is used by professional drummers worldwide. She has been featured in Tom Tom Magazine, Drum! Magazine, Rhythm Magazine and Berklee Today. This book is available at lizficalora.com
After the release of her book, she created and designed a new drum charting software program called Drum Chart Builder. This program is an online professional tool for drummers, songwriters, and composers to create simple and easy drum charts and is available online and at Guitar Center.

As an educator, Liz has taught master classes on drum charting at PAS International Conference, MTSU, TSU, 5 Star Drum Shops, Guitar Center, SAE Nashville, Nashville Musicians Union and on Tom Tom Magazine Chops TV. She is currently producing Americana and Jazz music at her music production company, Ficalora Music Productions, in Nashville.
Amy Reid, songwriter, vocalist and guitarist is a native of Cincinnati, where she fronted popular local rock group The Bang. She was also female lead for country favorite, Boe Davis & Broken Arrow for many years. The Broken Arrow band featured Ron & Jerry Sweet of the Johnny Paycheck Band, and opened for Confederate Railroad. Amy also founded bands Whiskey River and The Shiners in Northern Kentucky, and was a frequent guest with the Linda Brown Band.
In 2002, she made the move to Nashville to take a design position at Country Weekly & Country Music magazine. After spending years on Music Row and in publishing, she jumped into the writing scene where she found her true passion.
